Personal Note

tolerance was the final project for my Film Production II class at DePaul University, where we made four short films in eleven weeks. I really enjoyed the class! It was nice to get looser and just make stuff on a tiny scale. I had been seeing lots of storefront theater and writing a bunch of short two-hander dramas, and this class gave me an excuse to finally shoot one.

Our assignment was to make a movie based on Aesop’s fable “The Scorpion and the Frog,” which I thought was really weird and cynical. The script for tolerance is me trying to give both the “scorpion” and “frog” perspectives a fair shake.

I was very lucky to have gotten paired with a great group for this project, and it was amazing that Harsh and Dakota were down to play these roles on such short notice! It was a super fun shoot, and I think everyone was pretty happy with how it turned out. We hope you enjoy tolerance!
